Jimmy Whelan joined Savage Land Solutions in 2022 as Vice President and Chief Estimator, bringing over 35 years of distinguished experience in landscape and irrigation construction. A long-standing mentor and advisor to the Savage team, Jimmy has played a crucial role in shaping the company’s strategic direction since its inception. His extensive background in the industry within Texas has been instrumental in accelerating Savage Land’s growth and enhancing operational efficiency.

Throughout his career, Jimmy has held prominent positions with leading firms, including Clean-Cut in Austin, John Deere Landscapes, Pinnacle Landscapes, and Sun Grow, where he led key divisions such as Estimating and Sales. As an industry veteran, he and his family have successfully operated an irrigation design firm out of Austin for the past 16 years. Jimmy’s unparalleled expertise in commercial construction has resulted in securing high-value contracts ranging from $500K to over $2 million, including an exceptional year in which he negotiated over $12 million in contracts.

In his current role at Savage Land, Jimmy’s leadership has been pivotal in streamlining company operations, improving project efficiency, and driving business development across Texas and Utah. His commitment to excellence continues to shape Savage Land’s success in a competitive market. Beyond his professional achievements, Jimmy is a devoted family man. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children at their ranch in Kerrville.
